ep91ash
My abs light has just come in and it's constantly on now.... I've got the car up for sale so I need it looking at anyway but would like to know for piece of mind... There is a diagnostics port in the engine bay but not sure if this will work on English management fault readers... I've had a quick look on the engine codes list in the technical area and can't see anything related... Would this be due to the brakes being low?! If anyone can help it would be much appreciated! klyfax
Brake pads and ABS is not connected. If you have drum brakes at the back, start there. Clean the ABS ring on the drums. The dust from the brakes sits in the ring, so the sensor can't read it.Else its a broken sensor / wire.
ep91ash
Cheers buddy, it's a glanza so it's got discs on the back... Probably should have stated that shouldn't I.... Haha! I'll have a gander round it and see if I can sort it... Just don't want to sell it with a light on or anything incase it's serious... Thanks
DavidAshton
There is a way to flash fault codes for abs, you need to bridge certain terminals in the diag port and count the dash flashes. Search here or tgtt I am sure you will find how to do it.
