jayc-glanza17
best to use a oil filter sandwich plate buddy..
JayJ
Stock sensor won't read pressure as it's only a switch and will only show if there's a pressure or not. You can take the stock sensor off and put an aftermarket sensor on(you will need an adaptor). Usually sensors have two wires that you connect with a gauge and then you will need +12v for gauge to light up. Easiest way is to take it from a cig lighter for example as there are connectors on back of it, so you don't need to cut any wires. If you want it to light up with headlights then it's another story. AdamB
You can use a sandwich plate like thishttp://www.id-workz.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_1118_1211_1233&products_id=369 If you use a sandwich plate you will very likely have to grind it as it will foul on the powersteering bracket. The other good thing is that you can put a temp sensor in there as well. Or a T-piece fitting which goes to the stock pressure sensor on the front of the block. Fitting is a doddle. Sensor goes to the gauge, then the gauge will need +12v and an earth which you can connect to the cig lighter. And also normally there is another wire for illumination. EPnick22
so the end of the pipe for the gauge just screws into the bottom of the sandwich plate? whichever method is easier really lol
AdamB
Yeah the sensor screws into the sandwich plate of T-piece. Easiest method would be to get the T-piece as you wouldn't have to grind away at the powersteering bracket and or sandwich plate.
