Wardy
Would anyone who has done this help me out?Basically can I just remove the crank pulley and replace with my aluminium one? Or do bits fall off and stuff? LolCheersWardy
garrygt
They are a bit of a bugger to come off..i tried pullers but the edges kept breaking off. In the end i just hit it with a hammer as i was changing it anyway haha
davehart
I found mine pretty easy to get off, you just need the right tool. Use a puller like this set:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/46PC-Harmonic-Balance-Puller-Kit-Remove-Gears-Steering-wheel-Crankshaft-1922-/141031590428?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20d6234a1c I've got a clarke set and used it when I did the timing belt last, worked a treat and you won't chip anything on it beating it with a hammer! On a side note, I would not replace the stock pully with an aftermarket one as they can damage the engine in the long run. The_Notorious_C_A_T
What Dave just posted is what you are meant to use. Do not use a joinery hammer. . . . Lol
StuDoc 72
Just use a rubber or leather mallet n stop trying to hit it and HIT IT.
