Panda.gt
ive read many many posts about how to cure idle problems.once ive been for a drive ill park my car on ym drive for just over half hour i come back my oil temp is always between 50 degrees and 80 degrees when it happens, it idles around 500 or 600 rpm and sometimes cuts out and dies.once driven again its fine.adjusted my idle screw but all that done was make my car idle at like 2000 rpm when its not idling rough.ive removed my icv cleaned that out was full of crap ect.new plugs new magnacore leadsoil filter changechecked timing (slightly advanced)new air filter oil catch can and lines cleaned right outdone compression checks and cylinder leakage all okonly fault ive found is when i rest my finger on the throttle pos sensor the idle rises and then gos back to idling rough againreally really confused as im a nearly qualified motor vehicle tech Cheers guys

mech5107
Vacuum leak in a car with map sensor will race the idle, not lower. When you fiddle with the TPS, it's probably moved and getting from idle contacts to no contact, as when cruising with light throttle. When this is happening, AFR will be around 12,5. Do you have a wideband in the car?
