Chops Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Hi all, quick question. My friend and i have been going through his car, making a list of all the things that its previous owner rinseep82 made a massive hash of. it has what i believe to be an hks ssq blow off valve (like this one http://www.id-workz.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_1118_1211_1236&products_id=306) which is held onto the intercooler piping with a circlip utalising port thingie. its rattly as fuck, completely loose, and i was wondering if its supposed to have a gasket of some sort under it to make a seal. any help is appreciated of course! Chops Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 yer thats the one, does yours rattle around loose in its fitting lol? im assuming theres some sort of seal missing on my friends. Quote
ROTABOOST Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 They have an O-ring seal under the valve. If you take the circlip out and pop the valve off there will be a groove/channel in the flange for the O-ring to sit. There should be no play, the valve should be nice and firm. by the way if it goes together easily it's more than likely not in right. They are a pig to get together lol! Quote
Chops Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 cheers, im just gonna find an o ring for it, chop its mount off the intake to sell it all and put my baileys on there instead. anyone interested in it pm me or http://www.ukstarletowners.com/user/11266-jamo-94/ cheers for the help!
