which brake fluid?

As abobe says on the cap dot 3 but the local garrage only has dot 4 anyone recomend and good oil I can buy online, or will any dot 3 do?

Toyota dot 5.1 is what most of use, thats fine for kinda fast road use, you can get other more expensive stuff for track use though.

Hi

The best fluids for the brakes and clutch are the Castrol SRF, Motul RBF660 and Gulf RF1000. The Motul RBF600, Gulf RF1000, Millers 300 Plus and Fuchs Pro Race are close to those, but don't have quite as high boiling points. Those ones are all really for cars that are used on track. The next step down (in performance terms), but still an upgrade over standard are the Gulf Racing 5.1, Motul DOT 5.1 and Castrol React Performance. Any of the other DOT4 fluids we have are fine to use as a standard choice.

As Dan said, the most common is Dot 5.1. Many of us use the genuine Toyota fluid, we keep it in stock too.
