  1. That is coming along now mate, what size of exhaust are you getting made?
  2. The early ae86 rear diff allegedly fits, but it is an 800 quid gamble. Good work so far dude. Will be interesting to see how they do the exhaust.
  3. 2 - should be in the thermostat housing aswell. It is only for the cluster temp gauge. You could fit an aftermarket coolant temp gauge.
  4. There are a few different thermostat housings. Yours might not match that loom.
  5. 1 - coolant sensor 2 - coolant gauge on dash cluster 3 - for AC sensor on thermostat housing, you no longer have it, there is a bolt there instead. (Irrelevant) 4 - cat temp sensor (irrelevant) Should be a green coolant temp sensor for the green plug 1, your sensor is grey. Does it fit?
  6. Just a little less room! Mine looked the part but it knocked so much, and the backbox would fall off as it was a sleeve join.
  7. A 2.5" custom system does physically fit over the axle but it there is no wiggle room whatsoever.
  8. What are you doing for an exhaust system?
  9. Mine could be a little higher, as it does rub the tyres. Which are a 190/600/16 tarmac tyre, so 195/50 ish size.
  10. I've got them on my GT. 8J. Tyres do rub a bit. Depends how you set your suspension.
  11. You get the Link A and B harness depending on the unit it might just be the A for the monsoon, then that gets wired into your loom or get a new engine bay loom made.
  12. Should have put a paddle clutch in it whilst the box was out! Not a fun job. You can launch these at 6k rpm no drama, side step the clutch and they just take off.
  13. Be interesting to see what the 2ZZ can do. You having another one built?
  14. Clean up all the earth points on the wiring looms. Get some proper thick earth cable from engine to body, gearbox to body, negative battery terminal to chassis. The bits of string called earths that starlets have are shit and dangerous.
  15. Ive had 2 GT shells that I ran around in n/a form. You can get braces cheap enough to stiffen them up. Never noticed a 91 being any stiffer to be honest.
  16. In real terms its not a mega difference 5e over 4e. There is 200cc extra to play with in the map, and that will help with the turbo. One good mechanical difference is the 5e has thicker crank caps than a 4e, they are still cast though. People used to say the 5e didn't rev as well as a 4e. If you have one sitting it would be rude not to have it built.
  17. Wow 4k for a Link install is crazy expensive. Most of that must have been labour cost. Hope this goes well for you.
  18. Haven't read a full build thread in ages. Fantastic MK2. Martins GT was very quick with that turbo kit on mate, you'll love it. What sort of ECU are you going to be running? Those pistons make things interesting, tell the mapper to take great care.
