Rear heated screen

The heating on my rear screen is shite, just wondering is there anyway to sort it out ?? Anything to check/looks for as wires ect.

usually the elements in the rear screen go only easy option is fit a new rear window or replace the bootlid ,, I had a starlet that was the same I just replaced the whole bootlid was easiest option as I didn't have any glass replacement on the insurance
