JordanEP91 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Got a slight problem maybe be something very simply! Wondering if someone can help me, since I have started building my car now when I turn the ignition on there's no noise coming from the fuel pump, maybe me being stupid but does anyone have any idea? Better put these because I know someone will ask me but yet it is plugged in lol Quote
AdamB Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Remove the fuel rail line and see if fuel is coming out mate Quote
JordanEP91 Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 I will try that tomorrow mate also will it still make a buzzing sound if there's hardly any fuel in the tank? When I say there's hardly anything in there I mean pretty much nothing but when I was trying to start it I could smell fuel :/ Quote
AdamB Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 It will whine more when theres no fuel in it mate as it uses the fuel as a lubricant. What pump is in it mate? Quote
AdamB Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Ah okay. I would first check the rail to see if its actually pumping, is it a brand new pump? Quote
JordanEP91 Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 Yeah I will mate, no it's not brand new was used on my car before Quote
AdamB Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Always worth changing for the sake of a few quid, their not the most reliable of pumps. Quote
JordanEP91 Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 Yeah mate just thought that, I will order a new one Quote
