what type of paint to paint a engine???

hu guys, as above Im going to be painting my engine soon and was wondering what paint people use to do it,

does it have to be high temp paint?

I was thinking hammerite but not sure if it will stay on as I don't want it flaking off etc

also will I have to primer it??

u dont need to use heat resistant paint! normal car paint will do perfect
