jordan walker
Hi, looking at a mocal oil cooler fitting kit on ebay and was wondering wether its worth running one. My engine is forged and gunna be running about 300bhp. Its more for looks than anything else tbh i want it to sit next to my air filter in the grill but i want to make sure that its not going to cause my engine any issues like high pressure low pressure too low temps etc etc whats peoples views on them? Also it has the option of a 80c thermostat? Anyone got any views on these? Are they worth it etc?
jayc-glanza17
run oil cooler with a thermostat to prevent engine damage.. I do, and many others as well.. oil too cold is just as bad bad as oil being too hot..

DevonGT
waste of money, unless your going to be on track a lot.
jordan walker
Tbf the car is going to be mainly used for track days etc and the reason ive got a forged engine is because i fried my standard engine on a track lol

RM15_Glanza
Exactly as Jay says make sure you use a thermostat also plumb in a oil temp gauge if you can always good to keep an eye on it just incase the thermostat ever fails
