4E forge headgasket thickness

Im currently forging my 4e block i have wiseco 74.5mm flat top 9.1 pistons and scat rods,

what thickness headgasket will i need to use?

will the engine be reliable to hold 300bhp?

here is my specs list:

*arp headbolts and main.

*mls 1.9mm headgasket.

*wiseco 74.5mm flat top pistons.

*scat rods.

*acl full bearing kit.

*stock 4e head.

i'm running 1.4mm hg on my forged build,and i find that a bit laggy (i also run dished pistons..)...and yes yer engine will cope with 300 bhp as long as it's built and maintained correctly,

so a 1.9mm will be too thick and engine will be laggy?

i dont know if i should use a 1.4mm because im gona have to skim the head and deck the block.

because of the high comp pistons im abit worried.

There are a few different compression calculators online you could use. Use the different gasket thicknesses and you will soon see which one you need..

sorry i never noticed you were running flat top pistons

Measure the valve to piston clearence then you can pick a headgasket. Thinner the better but depends on whos mapping it really.
