fiddlersport
Hello I have a 5efhe exhaust mani for the 4efe on my N/a starlet, the manifold is the 4-2-1 but it seems it may require a little modifying to make it fit, is it worth the hassle guys ? i still need to remove the cat but it seems to be attached all the way down from the downpipe, do i just chop it out and install straight-pipe ? Thank you
Chops
you might see gains from fitting the 421 section, but fitting a straight pipe may not make any difference at all. back on the old micra forums one chap carefully dynoed his car after every little thing he did to it, and found that a bespoke stainless straight through system he bent up for it gave no more power at all, anywhere through the rev range. im not sure if the same thing would be true of a starlet but the two cars are similar enough to compare. id just fit the 421 mate

Chops
http://www.ebbt.no/ebbs-maxi-micra-project/this is a big micra project i know, and the guy who wrote it is Norwegian so the English is a bit off here and there, but he nearly doubles the engines power output with nearly all stock and home made parts, and most of it is very relevant to your 4efe if your interested.
