fiddlersport Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 Hi I am currently collecting the bits to complete my project A 5e into the ep91 currently running the 4efe uk 98 model I will be using the 5e loom and 5e ecu all from a jdm sped car, no immobiliser my current car has the toyota factory immobiliser, is the key coded to the ecu ? what problems may i face if the 4efe ecu is removed and replaced with the 5e ecu or is the immobiliser just requires the signal from the key which is that ring around the ignition barrel ? thank you Quote Link to post Share on other sites
morgey Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 The uk 4e ecu is what your key is coded to. As soon as you remove that the car will no longer have a factory immobiliser and that loop around the barrel will be obsolete. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
