mr_K
Hello everyone,Im having trouble with hi boost on my glanza.its running a stock ct9 with stock actuator. When i push the high boost in and try to drive its cuts out straight away.i have to accelerate through all the gears without slowing down, if i let my my foot of the throttle it'll jerk and feel like fuel cut. Its boosts between .7 - .8 bar.Since I've owned it I've been driving on low boost and now that its forged i need to get it sorted because i don't want to damage the engine. Anyone experienced a problem like this?
mattglanza79
A long shot but check your actuator mate as it's stock and spring maybe weak. Also could be creep mate.
mr_K
I had a hks actuator connected and it still done the same.can the vacuum pipes be the problem? The old owner has tried to bypass the switch.if done incorrectly can that cause it?
mikey4410
Ct9s are notoriously shite at regulating there boost, there a nightmare.Either go td04 or external wastegate ct9 becasue no matter how much u "port the ct9 wastegate" will still be poo
mr_K
Yes thats what i was thinking too.Do you guys reckon my engine should be okay for the td04?I rebuilt it myself and forged it ive done 450miles so far,Im planning of fitting my wepr topmount td04 and run it 0.5?ive got a front mount fitted already
thorpy36
I completely disagree with the Idea that a ct9 is bad at holding boost when they are ported. I have had my ct9 refurbished and ported properly by Liam D at midland turbos. It is running at a bar with most supporting mods and it holds perfectly. No creep what so ever. I don't think that just changing the turbo is going to make a difference to this issue.
mr_K
The turbo is already from Liam D.I'm not blaming the turbo because i had this problem with my old ct9 too..it feels like fuel cut and its so annoying. My car wont full boost until 3rd gear in low mode.i havent even had a chance to use high boost because of the way its acting.im going to get a video uploaded if i can.
