Ballyhannon Posted July 15, 2014 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Here is the story. I have built an ep91 car for rallying. It is a ep91 1.3 sr 1999. The previous owner changed the engine to a 1.5 paeso unit don't know the year. The engine is running on a 4e fe engine control unit 89661 - 10181. I want to change to the 1.5 ecu. I have a unit 89661 - 16490 5E-FE MT. When I plug in the 1.5 unit the engine starts runs for a few seconds and then cuts out. I am advised it may have something to do with the immobiliser? fiddlersport Posted July 15, 2014 Share Posted July 15, 2014 key needs to match the transponder unit behind the glove box and also ecu, seems you have different key and ecu or box, get all three the same and it should stay started ! or strip out the immobi....
