Rocker cover/cam cover

Not sure if this is the right section but what's the tired and tested methods of cleaning the rocker cover before spraying,what acids,products apart from wet n dry and elbow grease? I'm thinking about using the old coca cola trick!

I use a wire wheel on the end of a drill and rip it back to bare metal don't get one that's too harsh tho it you'll scratch the alloy

Right, if you want something quicker get some gasket remover, spray on wait a few minutes and wipe.

Easy as that

And I hav'nt met a paint that it don't remove.

I tried a thing called pickling,some shit that welders use and even it didn't work!i will pick up some gasket remover tomorrow n see if that will do the trick,does anybody know of a real sexy candy blue colour?
