just abit of a worry here, my oil light seems to stay on for maybe 1-2 secs on cold start but on hot start goes out instantly, on previous cars i have had in the cold the oil light would go out straight away, should i be concerned?

Car is driving fine otherwise

PS, castrol GTX 10w40, genuine toyota oil filter

Mine is the same. 1-2 seconds when first fired up in the morning. Im not worried. The oil has to be picked up from the sump, through the gauze, pick up pipe, into the oil pump, through the filter, pressurise the main bearings and the oil drilling before it turns the light off. To do all of that in 1-2 seconds is pretty good. The reason that it doesn't take that long when warm is because the oil hasn't had enough time to drain back through the oil pump.
