Beany GT Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Hey everyone, when looking under my ep82 should I be able to see the flywheel, as in it's exs posed?!? Is there a cover missing?! Can I get another? Has someone got another?! Seems Abit dodgy just having it exposed, don't want nothing flying into there tbh... Thanks Beany! Quote
funny onion Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Shouldn't be mega exposed, is the sandwich plate between the engine and gearbox present? There are two types of sandwich plate- one for an LSD gearbox and one for the non-LSD gearbox. Quote
Beany GT Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 Not entirely sure, I'll hopefully get the box off tonight. But if you look at it from the drivers side, you can see about a 1/4 of it, it looks like there should be a cover ? Quote
mikey4410 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Yeah should defo not be exposed as it will let water, road dust and shit etc in there.as above the sandwich plate is missing I guess, thats just somebody been to lazy to refit when reoving gearbox. Unfortuantley you can only fit it up when gearbox is off :-( Quote

Stu Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 If its the backing plate originally that came from an auto then it will have an opening so the torque converter can be unbolted when removing the box Quote
