kyle_h95
Hi guys, so I'm looking and putting a front mount on my V, I have a few questions, 1.) Do I need the half rad for it to fit?2.) I have air con, I know I very rarely get to use it but can I keep it or does it need to go?3.) I have 98 spec bumper, does it need cutting/ shaving? I'm looking to get a varis bumper but first things first lolCheers!Kyle.
jordan walker
You don't need a half rad, you will have to cut your bumper and can't remember wether you have to remove the aircon or not I think you can get away with it depending on what inter cooler you go for I'm pretty sure there's a guide in the wiki section have a look? jordan walker
Also I'm guessing that if you fitting a Fmic then the chances are its because you want to go with more power aircon you very very rarely need to use in this country anyway and it adds weight and saps power so get rid of it most people have said that they can feel the difference when they have got rid of it there's a guide on how to remove that in the wiki section aswell
fremyjay
As above depends on the intercooler i ran a front mount on my old V with aircon and didnt cut the bumper, it was a j performance one, but any bigger you will have to trim the bumper
kyle_h95
I did look at the front mount fitting guide, it doesn't say anything about having to remove the air con, but he already had air con removed, to be honest, I don't really want to remove air con yet, purely because it's my first car with it! Mr. Chem
HDI cooler and anything thick will need the bumper trimming to fit properly. Mines a 98 with air con and it required some inventive fettling with the air con fan tooKeep the air con mate. It's not just the hot weather it's the ability to demist in 30s when it's raining.
