Turbo Goose
Hi guys. My forged engine is nearly complete i just need a headgasket!Ive been advised on a paseo 0.5mm headgasketAthena are about £100 where as paseo ones can be had for around £30I have 8.5:1 wiseco pistons and will be running a td04Just wondering if a .5 headgasket would give to high compression, should i opt for a thicker athena 1 eventhough they are 3x the price? Thanks guys,Dan
5e colin
how much boost are you planing to run ???? under 1.2/1.3 then use oem toyo gaskets are pretty strong
Turbo Goose
I plan for 270+ bhp so i think id be pushing around 1.4bar (correct me if thats off)
5e colin
go for athena then thickness is your choice me i would go 2 mm just for safety its easier to map
AdamB
Firstly what ecu have you got and who's going to map it? Do they know starlets well? I would choose the 0.5mm, the E series engine lacks peak pressure as it is, lowering the compression ratio isn't going to help much.
Turbo Goose
Ive got an emanage blue and get it mapped at racetech
