Hello all

I got home from work last night to find my tyre completely flat, and thought that it was a slow puncture.

However i took it along to the tyre shop this morning and there wasn't a puncture, the guy who inspected the tyre showed me the valve had split from the tyre and this was proved through the tyre dipped in water and bubbles coming up from the valve. He simply changed the valve and away i drove.

However what i'm confused about is how the valve cut split from the tyre. I checked the air in the tyre about 10 days ago and it was fine. Any ideas on what might have caused this?

Many thanks
