The first time I used a maxi fuse holder and stripped the oem battery terminal off which leaves you with just a square connector. I've just rewired Mine and now the fuse is on the battery side and that same square connector is on a battery kill switch

Ive seen people use a circuit breaker in the engine bay which can then be kinda used as a killswitch. My plan was like yours to have fuse/breaker on the battery side though. So i could effectively join the wires with the OEM connector and a kill switch?

Aye from memory the battery terminal just unbolts and I trimmed some extra metal off. The whole was like a MM to small so I just filled it slightly and it bolted straight on
