tommyn1991
Just a quick few little bits, once the cars been driven and got up to temperature, if I stop after about 5 mins the exhaust starts to smoke a little bit, anyone have this? And also after fitting new boost guage I noticed that the boost lights on my glanza don't all light up, I only ever get 2 lights tops, boost guage reads 6psi on full boost but stays steady at that,RunningFMICGREDDY BOVHKS actuatorFse fprSide exit exhaust w/decatWalbro 255 fuel pumpNormal ct9 Standard ecu with FCD Any ideas on these issues anyone? Gainzy
What colour smoke is it? Get rid of the fcd might just be running rich, as for the boost light check all the solnoid to the actuator all them pipes for leaks or wrong connections what's the fpr readings? tommyn1991
It's white smoke so maybe just fuel? I've checked for boost leaks and can't find anything, and I'm not sure about fpr readings, how would I find out?
Gainzy
Might even be condensation the fpr usually have gauge's on them yours obviously hasn't at the worst it's turbo seals or stem seals but I don't think it's that how much smoke is it?
tommyn1991
It's not a lot to be honest, it's hard to describe how much I'll have to get a video, I'm probably fussing over nothing as far as the smoke goes,What do these things boost at standard? because 6psi seems quite low to me
Gainzy
Doesn't sound bad, 0.85 is fuel cut but you have a fcd installed so you can boost more, with proper ecu management you can risk engine damage at the minute your safe but pointless having a fcd. This might help you in the future.
tommyn1991
Hmm so maybe I would be better just trying to find a plug and play stand alone? Was looking at a blitz access one because that seemed to do everything I neededAnd thank you that's very useful Edited February 22, 2015 by tommyn1991
Gainzy
Blitz ecu will sort you out, you can run 1 bar boost then, might run smokey rich but it's a good upgrade for now
tommyn1991
Gonna try and find one for around the £400 mark then does that sound doable?
Gainzy
If somebody needs the cash fast yes just wait there will be one.
Gainzy
I would put the stock fpr back on plug n plays don't like out else
