Ollieh17 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Starting the engine today after being out the car, all fluids drained etc. any tips, do's don'ts etc? Quote
TimD Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Crank it with king lead disconnected to build oil pressure, then fire away. Have a keen eye for leaks. Quote
5T4R7ET N/A Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I would remove the cam cover and pour some oil on the cams and crank over by hand. Put cover back on.Then remove efi fuse and crank until you have built oil pressure, you will hear the engine noise whilst cranking,(bit quieter) when desired oil pressure is reached.and also have look at spark plugs for moisture. Charlie28 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Just make sure you have oil pressure by cranking over with EFI Fuse removed and king lead out. Should get oil pressure straight away and then fire her up Quote
