how do auto boys fit their FMIC

Recommended Posts

hi all,

i got a jperformance fmic kit and wanted to install last weekend but ran in some problems.

as the titel says i run an auto glanza '97.

the problems i had were:

-from turbo to intercooler... first bend touches the hose from the steering pump.

-from intercooler to gear linkage. the pipe rubs against the arm that will be moved by the gear stick

-last bit of pipe: the dipstick of the autobox is directly in the way.

how did you auto guys manage to get this fmic fitted.

(i am a 1st mechanic so if their was a easy fix i would have done it.)

heres a pic of the set i have. same tubing and all

grtz,

wouter

it does fit with little tiny problem and that was the dipstick for the box just unbolt the bolt to the stick and move it slightly and it fits no problems fitting a fmic does take time and patience and some wiggling to fit but its fine

fitted this to my old V

he iamlegend,

thanks for the pics, its a great help that i can move the dipstick with confidence.

i'll try to make a how to for the fmic instal on an automatic. i'm sure i'm not the only one that runs in these problems. i'm keeping it on the stock ct9 and radiator and a/c. so i got some more fidling to do with all those extra piping.

greetz,

wouter
