Ollieh17 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I know theres a few posts about this but wanting to know the easiest way to change the outer boots. Shafts are off the car and have OE boots to fit. These don't stretch on a cone like the cheaper boots. Will i need to removed the outer cv joint to put it on? If so how do you do this? Quote
morgey Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 If youre not replacing the outter CV joint take the inner one off. Its litterally pop it out the cup and remove a circlip. Then you can get the other one off and not risk damaging your CV joint Quote

morgey Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Thats the bit that you remove with the circlip. Thats all that holds that on. Remove the clip, tap the tripod joint off then you have access to the outer joint Quote
