Hi guys

Some of you may have seen my other thread regarding low power output. I still haven't got to the bottom of the problem.

I'll try to keep this short.

Previous spec:

WEPR Ram Horn TD04 kit / TiAL F38

JP FMIC

HKS Super Dragger

Sytec FPR

Greddy Profec B

EMB

225 BHP @ 1.05 bar, full boost at 4K RPM

New spec:

WEPR F/F TD04 Kit / TiAL MVS

JP FMIC modified so now rear entry on hot side

Fujitsubo Power Getter

Stock FPR

370cc Injectors

Walbro 255 lph pump

Apexi AVC-R

EMB

Mapped couldn't get it past around 180 BHP

The problem is its now making full boost at 5K RPM, it feels like it wants to hit full boost earlier but something is holding it back at around 4K and delaying full boost til 5K.

Below is a list of things I've checked and changed.

New HKS plugs

New rotor arm and distributor cap

New Magnecor leads

TiAL w/g sent for testing and given the all clear

Turbo removed to check the w/g is welded shut properly

EMB removed and ran on low boost

Refitted stock injectors

Tried a different set of 370cc injectors

Fitted original / unmodified JP FMIC

AVCR removed and ran on w/g pressure only

Restricted air intake

Walbro pump is brand new so I don't see the issue there although I will try a different one as I'm running out of ideas.

Next is to try a different turbo and maybe another wastegate just in case there is an issue with it but that's highly unlikely.

Timing belt hasn't been done recently so I highly doubt it's that, nothing internal has been opened up. It's mainly the turbo kit / IC / fueling that has been changed.

It won't be the cams as they won't jump it'll only be like that if they have been removed. Its if the timing belt has jumped some teeth which can happen it may give you a similar problem.

Check the vac line to your MAP isn't split to, again i had a similar issue on one of Si's before and it was caused by that.

I'll add that to the list of things to check, I'll leave it til last though as I highly doubt it's done that as it was running perfect before changing the setup.

All vacuum lines have been checked but I may start replacing them just to completely rule them out.
