Nick666Akers Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Right then guysAs you know japfest is around the corner & it's typical of this to happen only days away.Car started to be hesitant last night on the way back from a meet.Started the car this morning g and it was running so rough!Checked the plugs and they were all coked up, suggesting a rich running engine. I cleaned them up and took it out & all seemed fine until it backfired went all hesitant and p cut out. Now it doesn't run for long & doesn't soumd healthy.Recently had fuelling checked and injectors checked and they're both sound!Plugs are still coked up.Engine light came on so decided to read the code, it came back that it was running lean?The lambda sensor has been rammed into the decat and has been cut off. My theory is the engine is thinking its running lean, so to compensate it's over fuelling to try and make it a normal fuel ratio?Going to replace the lambda tomorrow but if the fuelling was fine beforehand why is it rich now?Can someone please shed some light on the subject as I'm scared I won't make japfest Cheers Quote Link to post Share on other sites
