possible valve seals?

yuh these were my results on the fhe

Piston 1 - 160psi (max = just under 200psi)

Piston 2 - 145psi (max = 170psi)

Piston 3 - 150psi (max = just under 170psi)

Piston 4 - 90psi (max = 105psi)

so basically 2 engines need rebuilding

So u reckon do bearings and put fhe in as it is then do pistons /rings at a later date?

no get some rings in your local motor factors 4efe/5efe rings best to do it now then , there cheap to get , if they say no tel them for the corolla 4efe they will do just fine make sure to gap the rings

Yuh sound and what's the deal with running the engine I after? 500 miles on running in oil then re torque and change oil??

no need to retorque with our stretch bolts !!!! there not designed to be retorqued

first oil has to come out first 100km to get rid of left over particles , then go tru your running in process

Happy days. Do u recommend changing head bolts on rebuild or is it safe to re use old ones?

i have used them extra before the 1s in this engine i have used 2x

if you do make sure the threads of the bolt are clean and also clean out the threads in the block make sure there empty

you dont want them half full of oil giving false readings when torquing ( airgun and brake cleaner :)
