Optimizing Bass Settings

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Just upgraded my radio from an old JVC one to a new Sony MEX-N4100bt, now its a classy radio system with everything i wanted, but i cant seem to get the bass settings right, so i got 2 new front speakers 60watts vibe ones and i got 2 rear speakers 6x9s in the parcel shelf 420watt also vibe, now with the JVC system all i done was turn up the bass +04 and the treble to +03 and the bass from the speakers would make the car vibrate on around 17 volume, now with the sony i've adjusted as much as i can and have the megabass setting turned on but cant get the bass to sound or feel like the JVC unit which i thought is strange, now i am tempted how ever to install a 10-12" sub and amp to boost the power.

If any one could shed some light on the MEX-N4100bt settings (as it took me a few hours to work the thing out even with the instructions) would be most helpful and grateful.

Thanks in advance

Brad

P.S

also the sub and amp combo i've found is from halfords £139.99 10" sub with all new wiring kits - http://http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/sound-systems/vibe-slick-bass-pack-system
