Countryman
I've got to change my manifold and looking at it id say it's the original one that's never been replaced since new (96). I was going to attempt to remove it myself but nuts seem well rusted and seized. If any of the bolts snap off on the engine side is it difficult to replace them?Would the head need to be removed and get it professionally rethreaded or can it be done in situe?Or should I take it to a garage and get them to remove the manifold?ThanksNev
H_D
it can be done in situe space is a bit tight tho.Best to soak the nuts in wd40 the night before you remove them.
Countryman
Cheers for that. I've got some plus gas penetrating spray which I've sprayed onto the nuts and bolts. Is there any good way to soak them as just spraying them does not seem to get 100% thru?
