patman
Hello everyone I do know how to install the jam fcd I'm just wondering what colour the live is where it says connect it to the live wire behind ignition, I presume this will be a case off taking the black steering case off( which sits behind the steering wheel) 2 screws, then looking for a wire to connect the red of the fcd too, this is for an ep82 starlet.Thankyou Pat
mart1
How come your fitting an fcd? only a couple of days ago you was telling cory42 to take his off? or have you got other supporting mods for fcd to make safe for your engine.
patman
Yes Mart I have other supporting mods on, my car came with a hks fcd, it's currently switch to 12 which is basically turned off, I just think there not good hence why that's coming off and putting a jam one on, after installing a wideband and playing with the hks fcd settings I was actually shocked at the results. mart1
So a jam fcd is much safer to use, I'm looking at doing a couple of mods on my engine, it's just knowing whats the best root to take, it all can get a little confusing, I'm new to doing engine mods. patman
Mart people will have there own opinions on what's good and what's not of course the best way to go is aftermarket Ecu and getting it mapped, others can't afford that, at the moment I can't so have to go down the fpr route etc, if set up right the hks fuel cut defender will work fine, but people will say bin them, others say the jam fcd is better than the hks fcd, but all in all raising the boost, will need supporting mods to back it up :-)
