Or go to CM Hackers in Lansdown. LMAO. I carried my Starlet head to and from that. About 4 mile walk. You should see the place. The guy has been there 40 years and I bet he has never picked up a broom. It's a bomb site and that's an understatement. You have to see it to believe it.

He knows his shit, but apparently he is always drunk and lost his way a bit. My head had shit loads of swarf in there when I got it back. But hey still works.

But I will always go to maynards now mate. They even do collection.

They did some work on my Starlet head. On a Sunday evening. After hours there and then £20, plus I gave the chap an extra 10er.

Thats where the stuff is atm but they are taking their time and did with my mates stuff aswell. Dropped some stuff off a week ago said they let me know when work starts, haven't heard a peep. Werent really listening what i wanted to have done, pretty sute they haven't noted anything down.They also seem to be a fair bit more expensive than other places and thats a tip

I was very pleased with the work. And as said I went there on a Sunday after hours and they were absolutely sound.

My mate swears by them. He said he wouldn't go anywhere else.

The only other place I know is CM Hackers down Lansdown. Now these guy used to know his shit. I mean I had a good chat with him and he got into it because it interests him. Machining heads i mean. Now you don't hear that every day!

He was extremely knowledgable and knew my head came from a Starlet without me mentioning it.

Price was reasonable I would say. However swarf all on the top end. And the same mate says they don't use him anymore as a lot of his work was on the piss. His words not mine.

Now that said I do have some doubts about this mate of mine. He has worked as a mechanic for the last 8 years and knows his stuff...about oil changes and clutches. A different mate looked at the head and said hacker had done a good job. So I don't know they are just my experiences.

An alternative might be going down to see Dean at MD performance in Staverton. He is a top bloke and I am sure he would know of the best place to get work like that done.

Dean is a good bloke. He gave me a tour of his unit on a Sunday and a good mooch at his Subaru RA that featured in Aprils edition of Banzai. As well as some.other motors he has built.

If.I think of anymore I will come back mate.

My mate works for MD, he was the one that had issues with Maybands.would only go to MD for paint otherwise id stay clear

Not herd the best feedback from Maynard tbh, work is good buy time and money can be under quoted. Tho have no experience myself. I can ask around for you.
