turbo-fever Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 On the look out for a td05 20g possibly hybrid as want to reduce lag. Any company's sell them ?
turbo-fever Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Actually a turbo that will see over 300hp without being on its limits would be nice as well
tango123 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 got a hybrid td05 with 18g wheel. just been rebuilt. an seen no use. but part of a td. complete kit. manifold, brackets etc
turbo-fever Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Any idea on the boost and power it can run ? And would you sell separate as already have manifold.
tango123 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 not sure about power. be good for 1.5+ bar. built by liam D. it would have to go all together. as would struggle to sell the rest of it.
turbo-fever Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Pm me a price for the whole kit. Also there any pics ?
RobSR Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 if you want 300 don't go for a 20g lol. A standard 05-16g will pull 320 ish at 1.6 bar. Full boost apprx 4.6-4.8k engine spec depending.
turbo-fever Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 I have a 5efte, would like bit more then 320 ;) can and 18g make it to 340 ? I have and old ebay special td05 on at the moment but think it's getting a bit tired now. So need a new turbo before remap
Phil Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Get your yourself a vf/Td exhaust housing for a gt28And a gt2871 on a 5efte would be a good setupPhil
turbo-fever Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 Gt's are expensive turbos and i have read that the vf isn't that reliable at high boost. Where as the TD seem to take quite a pounding and and not to expensive
RobSR Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Get your yourself a vf/Td exhaust housing for a gt28 And a gt2871 on a 5efte would be a good setup Phil This is a good idea. Owen Developments do a couple of concoptions like this. What power are you looking to hit? Whats your engine spec too? Pistons/Rods/Gasket/Cams etc? All makes a lot of difference.
turbo-fever Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 Unsure of specs but forged 5e engine 1.2mm headgasket and I belive standard head, looking for 340 as I should be able to hit that with no headwork and keeping standard inlet.
