ChrisLeeBoost
Would a bad ground cause a car to die randomly and not run properly? The car died on me again twice in 2 weeks while driving and I've found a black cable which looks like an earth from the battery has been disconnected from the body
funny onion
That's probably it. cleanup the earth and the surface on the chassis/gearbox wherever you're going to earth it too and should be ok.
ChrisLeeBoost
Did that but don't know how I'll be able to check if it's sorted the problem? I've drove it home after work no problems so I'm presuming it couldn't be the fuel pump? What else could it be?
funny onion
I'd say if the earth from the battery had come off it will most likely be that. just see if it does it again. it could be the fuel pump i suppose, weak spark, or lack of fuel for some reason. but like i say most likely the the earth from the battery. ChrisLeeBoost
It was just attached to the battery tray so wasn't directly attached to the battery, really hope it's a simple enough fix the fuel pump is brand new it's an APS 255lph one
