DavidAshton
Ordered some PI springs for the starlet n/a, went to have them fitted today and they were too bloody wide for the shock cup. Seems PI have messing things up so defo not recomended. So does anyone know how wide standard springs are so i can make sure i get the right one sent next time before going to the garage and paying for nothing again? Thanks
StarletRick
what ones did you try to fit? the rear ones are smaller than the front. heres a guess with me using my hands as a gauge, lol. the front springs are about 6 inches diameter. and the rears are about 3-4 inches round. DavidAshton
It was the garage who tried to fit them, and it was the front ones that were too wide and the back ones look too wide aswell. It was the shock cup that they were just too wide for.
Rich
Strange when the garage fitted my PI springs they said the fronts kept popping out of the top mount, I had a look myself and they did. However once they managed to get the cars weight onto the springs they stayed on Back ones went straight on.Could get you the part number to make sure but you'll have to wait a bit before I get home.
