hondalifestyleuk
working on Sons Starlet ep91 to put Tein lowering springs on cannot undo the top nut, they normally would have an allen key hole in the top to stop the shaft spinning, but from removing the cover just looks like a hole any idea on how these stop rotating so I can change the springs without damaging the shock itself as when I'm trying to undo the nut its just rotating the oem spring
5e colin
bolt them back in the car and put the car back on the ground now use a air gun to loosen top nuts is that fails then unbolt the shock from bar and put a vice grips as close to topmount ( on main shaft )
hondalifestyleuk
I've managed to get them loose by doing exactly that but used a long breaker bar, think one must have been changed at some point as drivers side was 17mm nut and passenger side is 19mm nut on top of shockers, but thanks anyway bud appreciate the help
