Another high idle issue...

Recommended Posts

My Glanza is idling at around 1800-1900 when first started, when warm around 1400-1500. I've checked and from what I see all the vac hoses are connected on the inlet and connect to somewhere else. I've cleaned the ICV and when adjusting the idle screw the throttle body doesn't move any further in, the cable is not tight but it just doesn't go as far back as the screw.

Has anyone got any ideas what I can be checking? How can I check for leaks in any of the pipes as they're not all easy to get to...

Spray some engine start or similar around the injector seals into the head, have had quite a few customers cars thru with high idle problems and its been cracked or hard seals.
