Heat shield removal??

So my exhaust has started rattling like a son of a bitch against the heat shield on the fuel tank. I know the obvious answer is no lol but can I bin the shield? Cars my daily, not running big power.

That happened on mine when I changed the exhaust, I put a big washer over the screw/bolt and pinned it back up

I wouldnt recommend removing the fuel tank heat shield lol
