Gear selection issues.

Ah the joys of old cars lol.

So tool the 71 a run today and was fine until I noticed it getting hard to select gears. Also the clutch bite is nearly at full travel down on the pedal. Now it pretty much won't go into gears when driving. Yet with the engine off, if you keep going through selection it slackens off till its normal again. Possible problem with master?

try rotating the sugar cube on the selector arm on the box if they wear the gears become hard

or double clutching while driving , if that works then its either master clutch cylinder or leaky slave on the box itselve

Cool thanks colin I'll try that in a bit. Don't think it's anything major, probably with the car sitting not doing anything for so long.

Update: I reckon the fact there's no bloody brake fluid in the resavoir might have something to do with it 😡
