mccartney11 Posted May 31, 2017 Share Posted May 31, 2017 First time dealing with turbo Toyota setup , I've converted my ep70 to 5efte, when I start it it cuts out 3-4 time then it'll start and run at 700rpm sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders and won't rev properly, but as it warms up it revs normal, any ideas?Next is it gets hot quite quickly, like after 4-5 mins running the heat off the manifold is severe , making me wonder is something up I've never known them to get this hot, it's also boiling the water in the rad , it's blowing steam out the overflow , both rad pipes are hot , I've checked thermostat and it's opening and closing fine, any other things to try before I put it down to head gasket? Any help appreciated as I'm new to turbo set ups only used to dealing with 1e& 2e's in starlets Quote Link to post Share on other sites
