I got the battery charged up and on. Checked voltage when engines running and got 14.4v and when components are on its about 13.4. I did a check also by disconnecting the neg terminal and putting one prong in that and one of the terminal and I'm getting a 12.7 reading... Does that mean I've hot a draw somewhere??

I've tried another radio after I had the I code by the first time and it still would work ( the radio that is )
-
Question though. I've got a sub hooked up to my car and obviously as you all know it has a 12v live fees directly from the battery. So, why doesn't that flatten the battery but a direct live to my stereo would?
-
You've helped greatly!! I've had the battery for two weeks and even though its dead it will charge up yeah?
-
Would you suggest getting a new battery, putting it on and just checking the current draw and go from there? Are you familiar with radio wiring? Just I fitted a wire straight to the yellow live wire, which I've been told is supposed to be constantly feeding it with 12v..

Recently my car started to play up. Firstly, it didn't start and I had to get the jump leads out and jump it. Then I went to work 2 days, the radio flickered on and off before dying completely. I went and got z new battery and it worked for two weeks no issues. Then I decided to fix the radio and found out the yellow live wire wasn't working. So, I ran a separate live from the battery to the wire and the radio worked. Now after 3 days the car has officially sure again.. I'm thinking its alternator?

Recently my car became abit temperamental and would start. I replaced the battery and all was good... Until my radio decided to start flickering on and off before it just completely died! It did this before the battery finally went but I never took much notice. But now it sometimes comes on but then goes off.. Sometimes it's on the standby ( which is normal for my radio ) when the cars off but as soon as u start it up it dies.. I've checked fuses, wiring, radio itself and even put a different one in with no luck... Any help please!

Common issue.. You can block it off completely, and if the idle issue continues, it's not your iacv. I'd then be looking at vac leaks etc

Hi all, I installed my jom coilovers today on my daily and when I put the top mounts on and tightened thn up but I seem to have a lot of threads poking out the top... Is this ok?
-
Hi all. Just fitted a set if coilovers on my daily and I replaced one side top strut mount and bearing but the other bearing needs replacing ( which il do ) but the rubber is fine... It wouldn't hurt just using the old mount no?

Hi all :-) On my daily motor ATM I've got a blown coillie on the back. I got a new set of four as it was cheaper to buy a set rather than just two ( I was going to do both sides for perfect balance) now I've got a new set to go on, but u don't know wether to just put the new set I fits tears on my car and leave the fronts in the box until I need them.. Decisions decisions :-(

Hi all, Just a query. When you install after market camshafts, what sort of changes need to be made? If I'm right in saying, aftermarket cams have larger cam lobes yeah? This giving a larger intake draw. Other than a decent map and other supporting mods and that, how would stop the pistons crashing into them as they will be holding the valves open further? Would you retard the valve timing by a certain amount of degrees or teeth? or am I wrong?

Just go to halfrauds mate, they'll fit, mine did

That's why I generally didn't mention it though but it's worth a try as you says checking compression test. How long after the build did it start doing this? -

Well, you could try to get down there, remove the belt and spin it, if its still tight then it's possibly that.. Should spin nice and smooth. Is like making a noise or anything? -
Could as above be the plugs, rotor arm etc.. Take the plugs out and have a look, same with the rotor arm and contacts on the dizzy.

Did you say you bled the system again? The heater pipes one off the thermo housing if I'm correct? So, just because there's heat doesn't mean the pums working, correct me if I'm wrong though. Could be that the pumps struggling to pump it round. I'd probably check the pump tbf mate ( pain on these. With the engine in ) -
You could remove the auxiliary belts and just run the car without them on at idle and see if the noise disappears, if it disappears then its something to with that area. Or you could check the belts for tightness, could be over tighten belts, causing a super charger kind of sound.
