So this arrived from japan brand new full Doobie ep82 bodykit  we ordered the wrong year so the front is mk1 starlet  fitment  not to worry  and if anyone is in the market for a mk1 Doobie front lip yes it will be for sale and yes I'll send it to the UK won't be cheap though  and as for the build we're so close hopefully road testing this week 😀

Something was bugging me about the cam cover though. Looks like a converted 4efe item, not sure if it's just the photos but it doesn't look as if the original hole for the intake pipe breather has been blocked?

Might be worth checking before it sprays oil vapour out!

Such a relief  mate its being started   and thanks  very much for the heads up you are very correct I went out and checked by ep91 4efe daily and yes its a 4efe rocker cover  so you might just have saved us a big oily mess oh the thoughts of oil spraying on all the vapour blasted parts and fresh engine bay paint makes me cringe if its not welded on the inside  I'll have it welded and powder coated thanks 😀 again 👌

Phil says all going well this thing mite be making noise  by next weekend  to say I'm excited is an understatement been  13+ months and counting 

 So the next phase has begun  the car was delivered  to Chris at his place of work for major  wiring work an oem + engine loom and serious work is needed inside the cars dash loom as with all these old cars and the many owners before it's seen many turbo times and alarms and so on Chris wants to have it all mint  which it great for me peace of mind  

Wepr racing hotpipe extended  by 55mm by ryfab  cracking job  new walbro fuel pump fitted along with a 3bar link map sensor  radiator fan shrowd resembled and fitted  bosch lambda fitted  aswell and  water thermostat is off to be modified at G-sport cars  getting  there slowly  but  surely  progress is slow but she's a truly one off build

So Phil offered up a spal fan to the new radiator  and he wasn't  happy looked lost against the rad so he set out about modifying  the original fan shrowd and has made it work and it looks awesome I must say  he is having the  fan shroud  blasted and powder coated for me and I've posted up a mint condition fan to go against the new shroud

So Phil said this would be a nice touch  innovative lambda  heat sink bung Extender  an expensive little piece I must  say   and ordered this oil cap from rhdjapan  and a few progress shots

Wishbones and anti roll bar back from powder coating turned out real nice Tein front coilovers fitted and the two Timothy Bell developments manifold heat shield and power steering cover a really class touch had to hound tb developments for them as he only ever uses them on his own builds next up Phil modified the Rw developments catch can to go on top of the cusco brace as 2 underneath would have needed washers stacked up and that just wouldn't cut it for me wiring supplies also ordered along with zeitronix wideband

Never new you had a build thread on ukso Adam  jez just looked through the hole thread my how far you have taken  this car  it's an absolute track animal now can vouch lads I've been round mondello in it handles like it's on rails  keep updating the thread Adam  great content 👌 👍

Thanks Adam I must say your vapour blasted parts you done for me look incredible in the flesh look like brand new your car would  really benefit from a rad of this size its huge in person defo keep temps down on track 😁

Next up is phils to do list and I asked when I was up on Saturday  would he  mind having  my front wishbones and anti roll bar powered coated for me and Phil being Phil yes matty I'll get those sorted for you 😀 

Went up today to vist the car at phils a   340 mile round road trip you'd be tired after it 😴 .September 26th last year I seen the car so to say I was excited was an understatement  .so last night we loaded up the daily red ep91 4efe  with the buddyclub p1's  the Tein super streets cusco carbon brace  and Rw developments  catch can and braided lines and power steering  tank .  We'll lads pictures do this build  no justice  its on a hole different level  as phils says she's different (gravy)  the level of attention to detail is unbelievable lads anyway here a fews pictures lads never got many as I was to busy  taking it all in 😂

Lots of progress  these days finish line is getting  closer  be soon time to make some big power 

 Buddyclub p1's  arrived from japan  there almost like new hard to believe   15" 7j et38 whilst at jdmdistro collecting the wheels I ordered  a brand new Doobie kit from japan 😀  be here this side of Christmas
