Hey just blew up another engine, but have a spare one that just needs a piston and conrod. Both engines came out of a starlet GT but the conrods have different codes on them, is it okay to use a conrod with a different code on it or not?

thats what i thought, its just got a plug in terminal on it and not the bit you can screw the speedo cable drive on

Just bought an engine for my starlet and i just noticed that on the one i bought it is an electronic signal speedo drive wheras the one on my old engine is a cable driven one? Could i just buy different clocks to work with it or can you buy the cable driven speedo drive? cheers

clearly wasnt running perfect as theres a big crack hole in a piston. you sold it to me as a running "good engine" and i payed for that, i pmed you the other day and anyone decent would of replied

Alright lads, Gotta rebuild the engine i bought as theres a hole in a piston. Is there a book or guide on the torque settings for the internals ??

Right guys gotta change head gasket on my starlet, bought an engine of someone as a "good engine" so just dropped it straight in to find out the head gasket is fried! So.. What like of a job is the gasket change with setting up timings etc and what gasket would u advise on using?

yeah put fresh oil in and it changed it recently again, still the same -
Recently bought an engine from hawwy on this site, put engine in the car but when its running its putting moisture out the breather on the rocker cover, (mayonaisy gunk coming out of it) Any ideas if its something simple like a breather in the wrong place etc or is it the head gasket ?

On the back of the engine there is a small outlet with a pipe on the main water pipe, where is this suposed to go?

Recently changed my engine in my starlet gt and now only sometimes the starter engages to fire it up. When it does engage I think its not disengaging making a loud whirring noise, anyone got any ideas why this is happening, cheers
