  1. And yes the car was up to temp before I revved it at all.

next on the list is a deep clean of the interior next week and fitting the original seats. In the mean time I’m on the hunt for a ct9 power up kit and a race spec rocker set up. Still on the hunt for an intercooler kit too.

  2. So i tried to start the car and it was turning over but not firing. After too many beers writing me off the following day and a little bit of hungover research I stumbled across a thread that said the ignition module needs to be bolted to the firewall in order to provide an Earth.

Mine was hanging down as it was one of the parts I’d needed to buy, I’d just plugged it in and left it hanging in the engine bay. So skeptically I bolted it to its bracket on the firewall and it started right up on the button! Chuffed to bits, no nasty noises and no leaks.

  3. Yeah just got the fine juggling act of working away Monday to Friday (where the car is but work is mental and I’m also studying for a degree In the evenings) and then on weekends back with my wife and kids away from the car. It’ll get worked on at every opportunity though

  4. Love an SR as most people know, they were never really rated back in the day but it’s great to see them getting the love nowadays. When I drive the black one around it gets positive attention.

I do like the ambers on SR’s but on the silver cars I think the clears look cool. On black ones ambers are a must for me ha ha. Pleased you managed to get the Remus mate and if it rots in to dust like they all do then get a custom Box made and have the original tail pipe welded on like I did, original looks And decent sound while being strong.

got to be a keeper after all these years, awesome that you’ve still got it

That's the coil dude, The ignition module (igniter) is a different component.

If it was from eBay you can start a resolution case against the seller for an item that didn't arrive. eBay customer services will get you the money back no problems. I've had to use them in the past and they're really on it.

Yeah me and bean had a chat offline and realised it was the other part. He may be able to help me out so will find out Thursday.

It wasn’t an eBay sale mate. I’ve claimed back from dodgy sellers quite a few times over the years but It was a breakers advertising on eBay and settled A deal through PayPal. Luckily I paid for it all properly and not as friends or family. Just waiting for them to get back to me now.

Its still going its got 160K miles on it now. The gear linkage bolts came loose the other day so she had no 1st 3rd or 5th gear 🤣

All fine now ive bolted it back down. Not sure how much longer it will last, arches are pretty rusty and a few areas underneath are too. Its recently had a new abs sensor and 2 new bottom arms as they were rotten through with holes in them full of rust. It still drives great though, shes had it 6 years now i think.

Ive been telling her for about 3 years to save up to buy something else. She used to have one of the 2.2 diesel civics i think it was a 2013 plate. I think that will be what she gets next, it was a great car but it was on a lease through work and it wasnt a very good deal. Really good family car though, not as much fun as the EP3 but it would be alot better on fuel.

6 years already! I remember when you got that. His is solid, no body rust but the engine bay needs sorting as it’s crusty
