  1. bought a disc-brake rear axle to upgrade for my 1998 reflet, (in preparation for an eventual 4efte swap) from a used parts importer(gets stuff directly from japan himself) and noticed it has ''ep82'' written in paint on the bottom.

are 80 and 90 series axles the same or should I return it?

  2. I was looking for the meaning of "Glanza" on the net and stumbled onto this – and also this:

    http://www.toyota-global.com/faq/vehicles/origin/0099/

    Starlet Glanza

Glanza is created from the Italian word granz, meaning "to shine."

I guess it makes sense when you consider that the 2 other models in the 9 series were named "Carat" and "Reflet"

From my limited knowledge of Italian, ''to shine'' in that language is ''splendere'' . The same word found itself into English as ''splendor'' which of course has similar connotation.

The word is more closer to ''lanza'', which of course means ''lance''

  3. Thanks, I will look into this! :)

I always use them when bringing stuff I buy from here.

by the way; how does the center glove box fix? is there some sort of metal bracket welded to the floor with holes to correspond with those on the glove box and console?

  4. Well I just wet my pants, Got a PM from Keith@Zisco with pictures of my new exhaust manifold. This is on the way along with a custom exhaust system from them :D

I am speechless. I think the first RAM manifold for a N/A?

So now that the interior and most of the exterior is done; its time for the serious fun to begin. These will bring it closer to the tarmac :)

  6. dont know if someone already asked something of the sort.

Can the front discs from a standard starlet be moved to the rear and coupled with glanza calipers and handbrake cable?

And do e12 front discs fit straight to the starlet front? If not what mods are needed?
