I bought the head second hand and the mechanic said it was fine and didn't need skimming, and I have had a glance around the head but doesn't seem to have any water around it but I will investigate properly tomorrow but I don't have a vaccum gauge, the wastegate just had a vaccum line from the side port of wastegate straight to turbo. the wastegate only seems to stick when I change gear after ive boosted for some reason. -

does it even from cold, I removed the wastegate from the manifold and had water around the ring aswell, maybe the wastegate is shit? its a cheap ebay one and maybe that's why I get a really loud noise from the screamer and no boost? -

I have not connected any water lines to it, I have just looped the water lines -
hi everyone, I just recently changed the head and gaskets on my glanza and got a new turbo kit fitted with an external wastegate, I have noticed when I put my foot down and the turbo kicks in and when I change gear from second to third I get no pressure at all and a really loud sound (maybe from the screamer pipe) which sounds like I have a huge hole in the exhaust and the boost does not kick in at all, also if I put my hand over the screamer pipe exit my hand gets really moist with water and I have noticed that the water from the rad is a little down, any ideas anyone?

Hi all.. im having some serious problem as my engine is in pieces and i need a headgasket as i am replacing the head.. anyways i have rang the local motor factors to ask for headbolts and head gasket but the say they dont have one for the 4efte and the 4efe is different.. but another source said that its the same?? So im totally confused and dont know what to believe.. on other forums some people say its same and some say different.. theres one on ebay from id works but its a huge price difference from the motor factors.. but are the head gaskets same or different?

hi everyone, i know theres a thread on how to modify the intercooler pipe from a ct9 to a td04 but its not really detailed and exact. I just want to know what exactly needs to be changed and willl I need any other bits such as small bits of pipe and silicon hoses? thanks

cheers lads, so the one on the side goes into the compressor housing and the top one just leave it open? i dont want to use a bc yet as i will need a fcd. and if i want to use a bc then cut the vac between the compressor housing and side port on wastegate and add a T piece to the top of the wastegate with the controller. and for the bov just same as it is now, vac line from bov to inlet?
-
Hi everyone ive got td94 kit with external wastegate.. the problem is thaf i have no idea which lines go where.. i know on my old ct9 kit thevac line goes from the bov to the intake.. buy on the new kit theres two nipples on the external wastegate.. one on the side and one on the top.. what do i do with these??
