  1. its going turbo in a few months mate, just saving up to get it resprayed, then hopefully get the engine, gearbox and driveshafts. i've just got hold of a 4e-fte wiring loom, now i need a 4e-fe to have the two edited.

  2. i am still running the 4e-fe engine, but with a 5e-fe ecu, which we bought for a laugh when i went to buy the paseo dials, the ecu just needs to reset, i was told that it needs to be disconnected for half an hour and then connected to the car it wants to go in (connect whilst the battery is disconnected), ive been running this ecu on my car for 2 weeks i think, seems to be running fine, just feels that theres a little more response when you hit the accelerator between 3,000-5,000 rpm. i was also told that the redline limiter was set at a lower point of 5,800 rpm, my car still goes down to the 6,200 rpm mark.

  3. not too sure about the orange bits you guys are talking about, but they will be tried out, im definitly going for the gunmetal just got to get some prices and then make my mind up if im going to do it with idrees or forget all the hassle and have it done.

  4. the car lives near me seen it a few times in the flesh and it actually looks 100times better in the flesh!! B)

    he also told me on thursday there that he has just accuired an ep82 4efte :p so not before long it will be getting turbo'd B)

    yeah he sent me a txt a few days back telling me this, he needs a wiring loom for it now. ive told him to get it to the bodyshop getting everything more flush, and get rid of the front bumper go for something not as bulky, (like my old sr's), which would get it looking allot better that it does now, but its his personal choice like everyone is saying.

  5. it feels a little bit more respensive in midrange revs, but we all do the thing of when we fit something to a car, to expect a difference, been using it all night & its been running fine. also when i do put my foot down you can hear the inlet more than the exhaust now, before the inlet sound wasnt so loud. sounds better though.

  6. my ex-SR had a corolla manifold, induction kit and full exhaust. i had 15" enkei's on 195/45 tyres, a front gt strut brace and koni soft/ hard adjusable suspension, it was lowered 30-40mm, handling was great for the normal 1.3, not sure how it would have been if it was turbo'd though.

  7. i'm 99% sure i want to go for the gunmetal grey, get the wheels powdercoated white, but idrees is saying to for the orange, but i feel someone is bound to copy that, just like they tried to copy idrees's. went for a jet wash earlier and all the paint came off the front bumper with a little harsh usage of the jet wash. the next month or so will be spent on prepping the car for the respray whilst the cash builds up :)
