  1. My wife occasionally drives my silver Glanza v but only if she has too as she prefers her own car. I've seen the black one about Dundee aswell, Someday I'll make it into the spotted section
  2. Cheers for reply mate, I'll give it a go see if it fits. The locks not seized or hard to operate, if anything it's worn and become fiddly to use. The passenger side is good on the other hand with not getting used so a swap would be ideal.
  3. The drivers door lock in my ep91 Glanza is a bit tired and some times requires abit fiddling to get it to open. The passenger door is very smooth and operates no problem and feels very tight. I'm going to remove the horseshoe clip that holds the lock in and tighten it a bit but I wondered if I can swap the lock from the passengers door onto the drivers door?? Does anyone know if this can be done before I try it??

  5. Ha ha as an evo owner I think its god awful and the colour doesn't help. It got the same reaction as here over on the mlr forum. Edit: as mentioned I think its running 600+ hp or something crazy... It's got a very wide track aswell looks like 9.5 or 10" wide wheels.
  6. My glanza's mot'd and on the road but I'm working Saturday nite so will miss this looks good too Would have brought the Evo and Glanza both like getting their picture took
  7. Yea cheers for that dude, I'm familiar with both them places from my Subaru days. Ill nip thru to checkpoint garage in Arbroath with it or Wallace performance in Aberdeen but that's a good bit further. It's back in for mot tomorrow the emissions are "better" I've fitted the cat and ill inform them it doesn't need a full car test...... Maybe test a car nearby that's 15 yrs younger Should be ok hoping it passes and I can get out in it. I'll be able to drive it thru to Arbroath to get the boost issue sorted once its mot'd and I swap the insurance from Evo. Snows coming so that's it off road t
  8. What group or page is it? I'll have a look
  9. When and where? I've not heard of anything going on
  10. Gbr Motorsport is no longer trading, spoke to the lad today who was very helpful. He informed me that he was working full time for toyota and didn't do any other work .
  11. Cheers fella Just looked them up on the net cheers for thatm, ill give them a ring tomorrow they would be the obvious choice given their knowledge with the starlets and probably a bit closer to me Never knew about them cheers ;)
  12. Bump.. Can anybody spare an hour or two this week to have a quick look over my Glanza? I'll be fitting a new abs pump on Wednesday and I just need to get it boosting properly to get it back in for its mot. Also can anybody get me a link I can print out for the mot station re: emissions tests for 4efte engines. Thanks in advance
  13. From what I know its its got a ct9 turbo a sard fpr the filters been relocated and that's about it I think. It's also got forged pistons and rods and a new crank. It was fitted with a decat but since fitting the cat it seems to run slightly better?? The problem persists in every gear at 4000rpm just as its coming on full boost, I'm a panelbeater to trade so slightly out my depth after checking all the obvious things fuel pressure and the waste gate actuator. The turbos brand new and the waste gate seems to be working on the actuator arm. I was unsure it needed it an uprated fuel pump but the
  14. There's obviously ££ in this for someone to get it sorted or at least diagnose the fault. I'm not expecting anybody to spend time if there's nothing in it for them. I wouldn't
  15. Ha ha cheers for that but ment to say in original post that wasn't an option!! I'm sure my mot station will pass it on the day but when I handed it in after fixing many faults it was running like a bag of nails, the on boost issue, I rekon they've took it to get it hot for the fast idle test and it's not been running rite. The lad I'm dealing with is good and says give it a tune and bring it back. I've since tried to get it at least boosting co distantly but it bogs down like a 2 stroke engine at 4000rpm no matter what I do. I'm gonna stay loyal to my mot station I've had many cars in befor
  16. I'm looking for some help to get my car thru an mot. I've done a tonne of work to it including fitting all new brakes a new temp sensor and wiring a new lammda and wiring and also oil pressure switch and wiring. I've fitted a cat, a new radiator and I've relocated the filter. It's also had new plugs and plug leads and a new coil lead, and a working pcv valve fitted. My problem is the car has failed the fast idle test (only just) its 0.4 and needs to be 0.3 to pass, I had my local mobile tune up guy out this morning and he reduced the emissions from 0.5 to 0.4. He said that the lamda is wo
  17. I viewed this car for nick weeks ago I foned the advert arranged a viewing while nick was on holiday abroad met the guy in a carpark in Dundee after contacting him through Pistonheads. He met me no probs I viewed the car and there was no sign of nicks emu. I was willing to take it off him there and then but it wasn't fitted to the car. Iirc he said it was running 230bhp and was using a manual boost control of some sort with an afr gauge on the pillar. It was defo him and it was defo the right car but no sign of the emu unit. I've been doing something about it just not shouting idle threats
  18. Hi Carl, a man of very few words Welcome I'm new too great place for info and parts with some genuine people
  19. Got this done 1st thing this morning. Both headlights were yellow looking, drivers side being the worse. Gave both the headlights a good rub with some 600 paper which removed a lot of dirt and scratches, I then gave it a few passes with some 1200 paper leaving both headlights cloudy looking. I polished both lamps by hand with some farecla g3 compound, this brought them up not to bad but still left a few light scratches. I then used the electric polisher and gave them a couple of passes with some water and g3 compound again which cut the rest of the visable scratches out. Never took any befo
  20. Cheers for the replies guys, I've got my own polisher and some farecla rubbing compound ill give them a polish using that. I'm aware of the toothpaste trick aswell alough I'd probably use the rubbing compound to see if it makes them any clearer. I did notice a bit yellowing on the headlight but never payed much attention to wether its possible to split the lamp or not. Ill watch the video when I'm outta work and hopefully have a bash on Monday
  21. Ok my glanza failed the mot on a few little things 1 being that a headlight is discoloured and affects the output of light. I've not checked this out properly as I've only got the car back and it's now dark. I'm not sure if I can polish the outside of the headlamp to remove the discolouration or if its inside the lamp? Anybody had any experience with this?? Can I heat and split the lamp? Or is a new headlamp required? Any help appreciated. Won't be able to check if out till Monday now as I'm working nites all weekend
